My Gilera DNA update

It is an odd situation that I have a blog called Gilera DNA.org yet I never write about the bike I ride 40 miles every day. The reason for this is however a good one – the bike hasn’t given me any trouble. Like a Mac, it just works. I’ve done about two thousand miles on it since I bought it but I’m not even convinced it needs a service. This was also my experience on my last DNA which was one of the reasons I was so keen to get another one but it doesn’t make for a very eventful blog I suppose.
My view has always been that the blog is written from the point of view of a Gilera DNA rider and there is not the need to post DNA related stuff that there might appear. There is no new DNA related media anyway, other than me of course and the second hand ads.
GileraDNA.org URL now redirects here.

Well the lock-in period is over and http://gileradna.org/ now redirects here. It cost $10 and I suppose doesn’t really change anything but I wasn’t going to do anything else with it and it seems a waste not to.
It expires on 3rd March 2008 so expect a new title for the blog on that day. That’s what I call plenty of warning for you! ![]()
Medieval Policing
May 1, 2007 at 12:46 pm | In Uncategorized | Leave a CommentI’ve been following the story of the Chief Constable who used the headless body of a biker in his road safety campaign (MCN News). This guy was riding a Suzuki Hayabusa, the fastest production motorcycle in this country, without a licence and obviously in a dangerous manner, and as such it’s hard to be too sympathetic: he brought it on himself. That said, he has very much paid the price for his behavior. That should be the end of it.
In the olden days in this country the heads of executed traitors were put on stakes on the top of the old London Bridge as a warning to the people to keep on the straight and narrow or else! You would have thought that in the 21st Century, we would have moved on from this attitude. It seems that this individual, Richard Brunstom, has not. This ‘Elf & Safety’ Nazi want’s to display his body as a warning in much the same way as in medieval London.
This is not acceptable. He’s got to go.
This is the URL of the petition to get rid of him mcn.online@emap.com They want your full name and address.
